In February 2017, the State Council listed high-end equipment as one of the seven emerging industries in the decision on accelerating the cultivation and development of strategic emerging industries issued by the State Council, and defined five high-end equipment fields: aerospace, satellite and application industries, marine engineering, rail transit equipment and intelligent equipment.
The 12th Five Year Plan for high-end equipment manufacturing industry led by the Ministry of industry and information technology has been basically completed and is expected to be issued in the near future. According to the objectives proposed in the plan, by 2017, the sales output value of high-end equipment will account for more than 20% of the equipment manufacturing industry, and the annual sales output value will reach 6 trillion yuan.
Intelligent manufacturing equipment includes six categories of products, including precision and intelligent instruments, intelligent control system, high-grade CNC machine tools, intelligent special equipment and automatic complete production line.
